Boyzone Stephen Gately Died-Stephen Gately, singer of the Irish band ‘Boyzone’ was found dead on Saturday in Mallorca, Spain, along with his partner Andrew Cowles. It has also been confirmed by the pop band on its official website. The actual cause of the death of Stephen Gately is not
clear yet and the band’s official website did not disclose any detail regarding the cause of his death. The 33-year-old pop singer Stephen Gately was a gay and he married Andrew Cowles, with whom he was found dead, in 2006. In 1994, Irish band Boyzone Universal began their journey in the UK with the cover version Love Me for a Reason. Ten years ago, Stephen Gately announced that he was gay and the band split after the announcement was made. But later on in 2008, the band reunited. In the United Kingdom the news of Gately’s death has got huge media coverage.
The other four members of Irish boy band Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch all arrived in Mallorca after they got aware of the news of Gately and Cowles death. The band members were shocked on the sudden deaths. A band released a statement which said.
“We have shared such wonderful times together over the years and were all looking forward to sharing many more,”
It added.
“Stephen was a beautiful person in both body and spirit. He lit up our lives and those of the many friends he had all over the world. Our love and sympathy go out to Andrew and Stephen’s family. We love you and will miss you forever.”
