A recent news report by ABC brings the story of Brooke Greenberg to the public. This child is, indeed, not even a child–she’s a teenager, apparently trapped in time in the body of a baby.

As odd as this seems, it does make you wonder if little Miss Greenberg holds the secret to youth. Can we be young forever? What sets her apart genetically that keeps her from growing in normal ways? She’s 16, but rides in a carseat and is pushed around in a stroller. She’ll never “grow up.”

I’m amazed at this story. It’s like a Benjamin Button case, but in reverse. Instead of getting younger, she’s staying younger. And doctors are baffled.
