In 1981, Tatum was inducted into Ohio State’s Varsity Hall of Fame; in 2005, the College Football Hall of Fame inducted him also. Tatum played 10 seasons with the Raiders and Oilers and voted to three Pro Bowls (1973-1975).

Jack Tatum was first-team All-Big Ten in 1968, 1969 and 1970. Tatum also earned All American by unanimous vote in 1969 and 1970 and 1970’s National Defensive Player of the Year.
