Today after 11am, the lucky few chosen in a lottery will be notified that they are going to Michael Jackson’s memorial.

8,750 people will be chosen, each receiving two tickets; 17,500 tickets all together. A portion of fans will go to The Staple Center; the balance going to The Nokia center across the street.

1.6 million people registered, out of millions of hits on The Staple Center’s site. Computers are going through the request to weed out multiple entries and entries that seem to have been generated by automation.
