LAHORE: Six religious parties announced on Monday to call a national conference on May 14 in Lahore to review the challenges confronting the country.
A consultative meeting was held today in the provincial capital comprising Jamaat-e-Islami, Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, banned Islami Tehrik, JUP (Noorani), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and Jamiat Ulema-I-Islam (S).
Later, at a press conference, leaders of these parties called upon all religious parties to play their due role in view of the threats against country. They urged the government and Tehrik Nifaz Shariat-e-Muhammadi (TNSM) to ensure the implementation of Nizam-e-Adl Regulation for restoration of peace in Malakand region.
