The 41-year-old Bollywood star, best known for her films like ‘Saudagar’, ‘Dil Se’ and ‘Bombay’, is set to tie the knot with businessman Samrat Dahal, seven years younger to her, in a traditional ceremony near the Nepalese capital.

The wedding ceremony will be a low-key affair with 150 guests and close family friends attending the event, which will be off-limits for the media.

Invites have been sent to President Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Maoist chief Prachanda and other senior political leaders on the occasion. Former King Gyanendra and his spouse Komal Shah have also been invited for the wedding.

From Bollywood, Manisha’s friend Govinda and others are expected to attend the ceremony.

Grand daughter of first elected Prime Minister of Nepal B P Koirala, Manisha and Dahal, 34, will marry in a ‘Swayambar’ at the luxurious Gokarna Forest Resort, some 10kms east of the capital, according to family sources.

Dahal, who comes from a business family of Kathmandu, has just returned from the US after completing Masters Degree in Microbiology.

However, the reception, to be held at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza in Kathmandu will be grand and 3,000 cards have been distributed for the same.

The marriage, which comes two months after the demise of Girija Prasad Koirala, will bring happiness to the Koirala family and Manisha’s parents Prakash and Sushila Koirala will host all the ceremonies.

Manisha and Dahal have been seeing each other over the past year and their wedding date was fixed by an astrologer a few months ago.

The actress has evaded marriage over the years and broke off two engagements in the past.

She was reportedly engaged to ex-Australian ambassador to Nepal Crispin Conroy in 2001, but broke up with him soon. Last year too, the grapevine was abuzz that Manisha will wed American speaker and author Christopher Dorris, but that relationship too ended.

MUMBAI: Barbara Mori Wants to Work With Shah Rukh Khan

The 32-year-old actress has been praised for her sizzling chemistry with Hrithik in Anurag Basu directed ‘Kites’.

But before she can foray into Bollywood, the model-turned actress needs to brush up her linguistic skills and learn Hindi.

Barbara, who was here with Hrithik and producer Rakesh Roshan for the promotion of their film, sought help from the father-son duo to translate questions thrown at her by the audience.

When asked if she has signed any new projects the actress replied in negative but added, “I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan.”

Barbara and Hrithik were all praise for each other forming a mutual admiration society. The 36-year-old actor said that he has learnt alot from his Mexican co-star.

The onscreen couple seemed unfazed toward the lukewarm response of the critic and audience to their film.

While the actress, who has has worked in Mexican TV soaps and films like ‘Inspiracion’ and ‘La Mujer De Mi Hermano’, said ‘Kites’ was the best movie of her career.
Hrithik said that the 140-crore film is his labour of love straight from the heart which has garnered good reviews outside India.

“To each his own. I don’t really trust them (critics). When I debuted in Bollywood they referred me as god and then after two years they said I am finished. So I would rather follow my heart and do what I like than try to please the critics,” Hrithik said.

The film’s international version ‘Kites – The Remix’ has been edited by Hollywood director Brett Ratner of ‘Rush Hour’ and ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ fame, which will hit the theaters on May 28.

“Salman had been always there, more than anything to guide because I didn’t know anything about the industry. What would remain special in my mind is that from the very beginning Salman told me that I will achieve this success in the industry. And at that point it was too far off,” a story publish on NDTV website said Katrina as saying.

“That time I couldn’t see myself one movie ahead, forget 15 movies ahead. I think that he believed it genuinely,” the 25-year-old actor said.

She entered Bollywood in 2003 with the dud Boom. Her first big hit was 2005 romantic comedy Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya in which she teamed up with Salman. After that she gave a string of hits, including Namastey London, Partner, Welcome, Singh Is King and critically acclaimed New York.

But Katrina feels nobody can plan success.

“It’s (success) destiny, no one can plan it. There are many people who are connected with the industry because of their father, mother or other family members; still they are not able to achieve what is termed as success in the industry.

“You can come here, make two or three films, your co-stars could be your friends – all this you can plan but you can’t plan which film would be successful. The miracle that happened with my life has been the success of my films. Because, had those films not been successful, no one would have done anything for me,” said Katrina.

She is now eager to take more responsibilities and do more diverse roles like the one she is doing in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti, where she plays a politician.

“Till now I have done a genre of films. People have accepted me, loved me and have given me so much support. I never imagined getting so much. But I feel that there are other types of films to do. See other contemporary actors, they have done much more diverse roles.

“People can say that the success ratio of my films has been very, very good, but I still feel people should see me on other kinds of films too…

“May be something like a remake of Sita Aur Gita…In Raajneeti, I have more responsibility. But you will have to remember that there I am with six very important guys, all have very important roles,” said Katrina.

The actress maintains she always wanted to do something unusual in life.

“I always used to make a world in my head and live in that. I always wanted to be something unusual. Some of the dreams I remember, they may sound stupid – I wanted to be a firefighter, I wanted to be a stunt woman, I wanted to go to Nasa. Acting was something to fancy,” said Katrina.

Reports reveal that Priyanka recently turned down Hollywood flick ‘Dawn of War’ for filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj. Believe it or not, but despite liking the script of the lucrative Hollywood offering, Priyanka chose to reject the film only because she wanted to star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ instead.

A source said, “The dates of ‘Dawn of War’ and ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ were being worked out at the same time and Priyanka was asked to allot her dates in early April.

Priyanka reportedly didn’t think twice before picking Bhardwaj’s film instead of ‘Dawn of War’. Wow!

Anyhow, after Priyanka opted out of the Hollywood biggie, director Tarsem Singh reportedly signed Freida Pinto to star opposite British actor Henry Cavill in the same.

Priyanka, who is currently shooting for ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, however mentions that this is one of the toughest roles she has done so far.

It’s been revealed that the film is based on the real-life honour killings that take place in Bihar, and Bipasha is ditching make-up and is learning to take on an accent to portray a simple Bihari woman in the same.
